Pensions Senior Systems Engineer
Are you passionate about automation and digitization in administration systems? Believe you could make a big difference in automating digital journeys through an administration system?
West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) is seeking a highly organised and detail conscious Senior Systems Engineer to join our team.
You will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our pension operations, working closely with our digital team and fire administration team plus supporting multiple clients contributing to the ongoing success and growth of WYPF.
It would be helpful if you have good experience of working with operational process maps, redeveloping these and automation tools e.g. UiPath or equivalent.
This is a highly successful and expanding team with longer term opportunities to match.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate individual and bulk processes through administration and online portals.
- Create benefit calculations and maintain the technical specifications for these.
- Agree requirements, scope, ROI and specification of system changes with the Head of Pensions Systems Development.
- Plan and deliver a continuous program of systems upgrades and development to gain accuracy and efficiency in the fire pension schemes.
About You
Essential Experience and Skills:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 5+ years in a bespoke financial services development environment.
Strong programming skills, knowledge of databases, and experience with relevant technologies, such as cloud computing and APIs.
Expert knowledge of SQL and Python as development tools. Strong understanding of database schemas and stored procedures.
Expert knowledge in automating workflows and robotics.
Strong attention to detail with a good level of mathematical knowledge
Expert experience of online automation into administration systems.
